movie follows Nat Turner (Nate Parker), a literate slave and preacher,
whose financially strained owner, Samuel Turner (Armie Hammer), accepts
an offer to use Nat’s preaching to freedom.
The film is releasing in SA on 20 January 2017.
The film is based on the true story of Operation Anthropoid, the WWII mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich.
It follows two soldiers from the army-in-exile, Josef GabcĂk (Cillian Murphy) and Jan Kubis (Jamie Dornan), who are parachuted into their occupied homeland in December 1941. With limited intelligence and little equipment in a city under lockdown, they must find a way to assassinate Heydrich.
