Fatherhood has its ups and downs‚ says Emtee

Roll Up hitmaker Emtee is no doubt making waves as a hip-hop superstar‚ however away from the stardom the rapper takes his role as a dad incredibly seriously.

The rapper’s debut album is even named his two-year-old son Avery‚ who is the apple of his dad’s eye.
During an interview with BONA magazine Emtee opened up about the joys and challenges of being a parent.
 
Being a rapper obviously comes with hectic tour schedules and gigs‚ which often sees Emtee having to be away from his son. But the rapper makes sure that he spends quality time with Avery every chance he gets.
“I make sure i see him every chance i get. I don’t live with him‚ so I always make sure to set aside some father and son quality time‚” he said. ‘
Emtee who is currently co-parenting with his baby mama shared some tips with his young fans who are fathers.
 “The secret is to understand that everything you do is for your child; so you need to be a united front for their sake. His mother and I are also blessed to have supportive families. When she has a class at varsity and I have a performance‚ there is always a family member willing to take care of Avery.”
