Producer says 50 Cent & Dr. Dre jacked 'P.I.M.P.' from him..Source: bet.com
50 Cent and Dr. Dre were just slapped with a lawsuit as a producer who was responsible for part of the success of their 2003 hit "P.I.M.P." says the song was jacked from him, and he wants his rightful compensation.
According to TMZ, Brandon Parrott says he sent 10 of his tracks to Dr. Dre in 2001, hoping in would land in the hands of one of his artists. Two years later, Parrott says he got a call from one of Dre's Aftermath Entertainment producers, who admitted one of his tracks, "BAMBA" was used in making "P.I.M.P."
The song went on to be included in 50 Cent's massive debut LP Get Rich or Die Tryin', and the producer claimed he did not know "BAMBA" was going to end up in the final cut of the track.
Parrott decided to then sign a settlement deal based on the information he had received, but after hearing recent interviews, he's concluded that it was all an inside job where everyone involved knew what was going on but him.
Since he feels both 50 and Aftermath Entertainment took advantage of him, he's going after them both to get his money.
