Tbo Touch reflects on his past: I sold doughnuts in High School
Johannesburg – He is one of the biggest names in the South African entertainment industry, but life wasn’t always this glamorous for Metro FM DJ, Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe.
In a few tweets on Thursday, the hip-hop DJ reflected on how far he’s come in his career – from sleeping in a garage, to selling doughnuts as a kid.
Tbo, who doubles as a successful businessman, says he predicted his success in 1998 while living in a garage in Harlem. "In 1998 told Kevin Liles I’m going to be a prominent media mogul in Africa. I was renting in a garage in Harlem 128th street at the time. (sic)”

Before he was able to afford multiple properties, the DJ says he had his first bond application denied. “In 2006 @Absa declined my 1st bond application because my income was a joke. Today I have multiple properties, cars with Absa alone. Whygiveup.

With his new fragrance, Touch, out in stores now, Tbo reminisced about the days when he could not afford any cologne. “I sold donuts in high School couldn’t afford a decent cologne to clear the odor. Today my perfume is best-selling at Stuttafords. (sic)”
