Medeama are on the verge of pulling out of the CAF Confederation Cup over perceived sabotage, Happy FM has reported.
According to the radio station, officials of the two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders are up in arms with the federation's acting General Secretary Isaac Addo over his suspicious conduct.
The former Deputy General Secretary in charge of Marketing is reported to have failed to act swiftly on communique from CAF regarding the side's participation in the group stage of the Confederation Cup - a situation which has angered the club's top brass.
Addo's credentials and competence has come under intense scrutiny with constant claims of dereliction of basic duties.
According to the Accra-based radio station, the federation's scribe, has failed to act on several emails from the continent's governing body, which has amplified the suspicion of mischief.
The Tarkwa-based did the tough job of qualifying to the group stage for the first time but feel the actions of the federation's secretary smacks of incompetence and perceived sabotage.
Already Medeama are under financial stress due to the delay payment of appearance fee for reaching the group phase of the competition.
Club officials have been tight-lipped on the mounting report suggesting they could pull the plugs on their involvement in the competition.
